The Public Housing program provides affordable housing to low-income families, elderly, and persons with disabilities.

PBCHA is able to provide safe and decent housing to residents, at a rent amount they can afford, through Federal aid offered by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD).

Public Housing Waiting Lists

When does PBCHA open the public housing waiting lists, and how do I find out about it?

Public housing waiting lists are open on an as needed basis. In many instances, only a particular waiting list for a specific bedroom size, and for a specific public houisng site will open. PBCHA advertises the opening of public housing waiting lists on this website, and the Palm Beach Post.  To view the current status of public housing waiting lists, visit Apply For Housing

Currently on a Waiting List?

Applicants active on the waiting list must inform PBCHA of any changes to the application within 10 business days of the change. To report changes, complete the Waiting List Update Form, and submit with a legible copy of your photo ID. Failure to keep information updated could result in the removal of the application from the waiting list. Only the Head-of-Household can make changes to the application.
